Bikini Island

Apparently it’s considered LATE in the season to be shopping for swimwear, as I was informed during my bikini hunt at the Grove on Friday.  WTF.  Who even thinks about going to try on swimwear before Easter/spring break/a month of yoga and cheesecake avoidance?? Luckily, I was able to find this suit actually in-store at Nordstrom’s, and I loved it.  It took a trip in my suitcase this weekend.  Sadly, it never made it to the beach, but I reassured it that together we will have a fine time in Palm Springs in a couple of weeks.

In my (not-at-all) uber-extensive swimsuit research, I also discovered that Ingrid & Isabel (makers of the fabulous Bella Band, which allowed me to wear my skinny cargo jeans well into in my second trimester) is launching a new line of maternity swimwear.  It’s a more modest series of basic separates and is offered in black, cocoa, and a marvelous peacock blue and it’s available online. Now that I’ve got you in the mood for summer with all these teeny bikinis, stay tuned for the Malibu weekend recap!xoxo
