Falling for Fall Style
This fall, I’m trying out something new.
Each season, I tend to randomly and sloooowly shop around & then right when a trend I LOVE is about to go out, that’s when I get around to finally buying it.
Oops.
So this fall, I was inspired by InStyle & Lucky magazine (which I’m LOVING lately, btw) to plan out a fall budget & shopping plan and stick to it.
So, without further ado, here it is:
#1. A mustard-colored clutch
I think this will pair brilliantly with other fall colors I want to wear out. Though, with a tiny baby at home, I don’t actually know how often I’ll be getting ‘out.’ Hmmmm… Oh well. Maybe this will help inspire me!
#2. Oxfords
I’ve been obsessed with this trend all year and yet have still somehow failed to acquire a pair. That makes me sad. But oxfords make me happy, so suddenly I feel better.
#3. Scarves: one polkadot, one Navajo, one that I just fall in love with
I love scarves so much—I’m not sure if that makes me old or if it makes me French.
#4. Heeled boots that are comfortable enough to run errands in
Enough said. Everyone should own a pair of these sort of boots for fall.
#5. very thin vintage plaid button-ups
The challenge here is to refrain from looking like you just exited a hoe-down.
#6. Black pumps
Just because I should have these in my closet, and I don’t. I was holding out for a pair of Louboutins. Silly.
Aldo makes great knock-offs.
#7. Gold bangles
These are something else that should be in my closet but are not.
#8. Shorts
Shorts are something I have never felt very good about, but Briana Lane is changing my mind. She raided my closet and showed me how to pair them with tights and boots, and it’s a pretty damn cute look, so I am venturing into new territory here.
#9. Henleys
I love these so much, and I love them even more now that I’m nursing. Plus, I think Henley would be a really cute name for a girl. You’re welcome. Yes, if you’re pregnant you can steal that one.
#10. some good cool-weather dresses for layering
I’ll post my finds here for October, November & December!
