Sunday in Silverlake

I’m loving this holiday weekend—my family is in town visiting, including my sister and her fiance all the way from Portland!  We’d planned on a picnic for the afternoon, but it started to be a bit windy so we changed our plans to lunch and a stroll around Sunset Junction.  I snapped some quick photos of the eclectic stores & sights around the neighborhood.  It’s been a while since I’ve been able to update the blog, so while the baby is asleep, I thought I’d share a few shots from today with you guys.

 The Spice Station is a fabulous apothecary-style local shop with amazingly helpful employees and a charming, old-timey spice-hunting experience inside…I somehow feel guilty divulging it’s name, but Secret Headquarters is a fantastic store for graphic novels.

We finished up the afternoon with delicious (and beautiful) lattes at Intelligentsia...xoxo
