My Travel Journal: Truckee

Posting has been light this week because I’ve been traveling in Northern California for weddings: my little sister‘s (last weekend), and Dessert Darling‘s (this weekend)! My parents & my family are spending time at a little house in Sonoma and it’s faaaabulous & I will have some gorgeous photos to share over the next couple of weeks! Starting with this post…

We started off our travels in Truckee, with a rehearsal dinner for my sister’s wedding. This wedding was such a lovely family affair, very small & intimate & filled with lots of energy from both the families. The rehearsal dinner was held at a local winery and the star of the show was the bocce ball court—hours of intense gaming ensued (as you can see from my Dad’s oh-so-excited face over his ‘kisser’ point below).

Spending so much time with my family was the highlight of the week for me…

I loved my little sister’s rehearsal bouquet. At her shower, we requested that guests wrap their gifts in fabric, so the ribbon used was also very organic & special and made a really beautiful ribbon bouquet for her to carry at the rehearsal.
